Reaction Role Commands

Normal

React to add the role, un-react to remove it. Standard reaction-role behavior.

Reaction roles are now a legacy feature

They keep working and nothing changes for existing setups, but Button Roles are more reliable (a click is never missed) and more flexible. You can migrate everything in one click from the dashboard.

The /add normal command attaches a normal reaction role to the active message. A user can pick up any number of normal reaction roles. This is the right type for notification roles, platform roles, and anything else members should be able to opt in and out of freely.

Usage#

/add normal <Emoji> <Role>

Removing the reaction also removes the role.

Info

Zira needs Add Reactions permission on the active channel.

Premium

Free servers can have up to 100 reaction roles per guild across every type combined. Premium and partner servers have unlimited reaction roles of any type.

If you want a single reaction to add multiple roles, run /add normal again with the same emoji.

/add normal 😊 Rabbit
/add normal 😊 Cat

You can also stack remove reaction roles on the same emoji to have a single reaction both add and remove roles.

/add normal 😊 Rabbit
/add remove 😊 Dog
Info

Discord caps a single message at 20 reactions total. If you need more, create additional messages and stack reaction roles on each.

Example#

/add examples

/add output

Caution

Set the active channel with channel and the active message with message before running /add or you'll get an error.
